How is the power steering tank on a 53 attached to the pump? mine is leaking under the tank.

There are three screws on the bottom of the reservoir, easily removed, with a gasket between the reservoir and pump housing.

The three screws Gene refers to show in my book to be slotted head stove bolts.

Hi Al,
Mine started leaking also. I removed the tank and found there were two small steel washers inserted in the cork gasket. I removed the steel washers and refitted the old gasket and tank, no leaks since. I assume the gasket shrinks with age. New gasket sets are available.

Thank you I have not removed the tank as it has been cold in the garage about 18F .
