I know it won't fit without a bit of fabrication, but has anyone attempted this swap?? I love the look of the 1941 Chev front clip , thanks :)

It will not work because of the redesign of the cowl in 1942. The 1941 cowl was exposed and 1942 hidden under the sheet metal.

You'll probably have to find a decent '41 cowl complete with "A" pillar/hinges and then cut the '48's cowl off at the "A" pillar and rocker panel. You'd probably have to cut across the floor from one A pillar to the other and cut the pillars at the factory welds by the windshield and weld in the '41. Personally if I wanted the look of a '41 I'd sell the '48 and buy a '41.

Mel, Forget it. Even if you were to succeed in this questionable endeavor, the first night the car is left unguarded the 41 front end will run away. Will too! There are certain things that a 41 just will not put up with. Charlie
