Now I'm by no means an expert on these years but on the back cover of the latest G&D in the vertical pictures does the top two cars have 38 taillights and the bottom two have '39 taillights. Is this just an artist rendering or were early 39's equipped this way.I would just like to know to satisfy my curiosity. Ed Bittman VCCA#47508 Dade City,fl

The 1939 trunkless models had the 1938 tail lights.
Only a handful of trunkless 1939's were made.

The 1939 sedan delivery also used the 1937-38 sedan style taillight. The sedan delivery lamp was mounted on the sedan style bracket while the 1937-39 trunk-less cars used a unique shorter bracket.
