I'm looking to see who sells the correct carpet for my car? I keep hearing that the Daytona is the one.

Hampton Coach sells a cut pile carpet simular to what Chevrolet used. The car had carpet in the rear and a rubber floor at in the front. The carpet matched the color of the interior, gray, blue or green.

Thanks, Chev Nut. So there was no carpet offered for the front? I have the original rubber floor mat but it needs to be replaced and I don't know if someone makes it?

Thanks Junkyard Dog. I have that website and a few others. I was looking to verify that they make the right one.

The rear carpet has a slat and pepper design. I believe all you will find will be in a solid coloring.

I ordered a few samples from two different shops and their all solid color. Do you know who makes the reproduction front rubber mat?

No one. That was a one year only, wide ribbed, no carpet insert, floor mat made in the three interior colors. No one even makes the more popular one color type mat used from 1949-1951 which were also higher production years than 1952. Would be intrested to see the samples.

The truck and car shop in California makes one. Look under floor mats. http://www.truckandcarshop.com/

I Take it back. It's discontinued. Obsolete Chevy's shut down and they had a mold but broke.

As has been said, no exact reproduction mat is available. I just installed the available black replacement mat in my '51. Some trimming required. Not real impressed with the fit. The holes for the dimmer and the pedals don't seem to line up so well in relation to everything else. I would prefer they offer this mat without pre-punched holes, so a person can make it fit, and then make the holes where they need to be. I think I bought mine from The Filling Station. I think I paid about $150. Beats the ugly electric blue loop carpeting that was there before.

I called the truck and car shop and they still have some in stock. The website shows them out of stock, so call them to order. Perfect match to the original. The only difference is that the square pad on the drivers side is a little different and you have to buy the insulation heat pad that goes underneath. http://www.truckandcarshop.com/
