Hello
I am looking for some help with finding the correct wiper arm for my truck. The wiper transmission is original(I think). The part where the arm attaches is round, smooth, and 3/16 inch in diameter. It does have a shallow round indentation on it. It looks like perhaps the arm is held on with a set screw. I looked at the ones in the truck books but could not tell how it mounts. The man at Filling Station pulled one, but he was not sure it would fit. Thank you in advance for your help.

If your '37 is like my '36 the arm has a bolt in it. This holds the tongue of arm lock onto the round knob behind it. It is located just past the bending part of the arm. Remove bolt. The arm is pressed onto the knob. It pulls off after lifting the arm up. It may be stuck in place apply lube to free the arm. Once arm is removed... The knob has a pin that must be removed to remove the knob. Once this is done the wiper motor can be removed from inside through the inspection plate.

Thanks for the reply. I am not trying to remove an arm or the transmission. I do not have an arm and am trying to find out what arm I need. The shaft on the transmission is as described in my original question. Maybe I am missing something?
Thanks

Is there a small hole that goes thru the shaft? If so it is like my 36 GMC, the wiper arm hooks thru the hole and the small outer piece of the wiper arm goes over the shaft and snaps into the round groove. Contact me and I can send you some pictures.

I believe the trucks did not have a wiper transmission. The arm attaches directly to the stem on the motor. aLSO THE 1937 TRUCK WIPER MOTOR FITS 1937 ONLY.
tHE PARTS BOOKS LISTS THE ARM AS "uNIVERSAL" and fits cars and trucks from 1931-1940.

Thanks for the replies. The shaft does not have any holes in it, only a small indentation. I believe the motor is original. I am going to take Chevgene's advice and order the AF345 from Filling Station. When I get it, I will post my results.
Thanks everyone

Sorry that I have not replied about my wiper question. I have been busy and have not ordered one from Filling Station yet. I will be putting my next order together next month. I will order the wiper and blade at that time. I will let you know how it works. Promise.

Sorry that it took so long to get the wiper from Filling Station. Got it last week and put it on today. Fit fine and works great. Thanks for all the replies.
