They bolt to the frame and attach to the back side of the wheel well. I did not look but they may be in the frame section of the parts book.

Dave, if you mean the location in the parts book, it's on page 65 of the August 1st, 1932 edition of the book and it's listed as part number 355486.
If you mean the location for the bracket when installing it, that's in an article in Chevrolet Service News which gives the instructions for installing side mounts. I don't remember which month and don't have access to the Service News at the moment, but you should be able to find it there.
Hope that helps.

Part number 355486 doesn't appear to be the part that Dave is talking about. He is asking about the heavy support bracket that goes between the sidemount wheel well and the frame. The correct part is called "Front Fender Well Brace" and there is a left and a right. Both are listed in the August 1st edition of the 1932 Chevrolet parts book on page 89. The left fender well brace is part number 367489 and the right fender well brace is part number 367490.

The Dawg has to be right, because the left and right brackets are different, so they must have two different numbers. I wonder what's different about the 1931 braces (366763 and 366764) compared to the 1932 braces that the Dawg mentioned? And why no braces for 1930 cars?

I added a sidemount to my 1930 Coach. I have the brace but there aren't any holes in the frame to mount it so I could not use it. My theory is that the 29-30 spare tires consisted of a tire, tube and rim. At some point in 1930 the wire wheels started to come into use. This made the spare much heavier as it now had a complete wire wheel so the brace was added at that time to help support the extra weight.

If the car didn't come from the factory with installed fender wells the frame will not have the extra holes. It will be necessary to drill them to install the brace.
