DO NOT KNOPW THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, BUT I HAVE A 35 ROADSTER THATS GOING TO NEED THE REAR WINDOW HEIGHT SET and also 1935 Chevrolet touring. You may want to consider my way.
MY PROBLEM IS DRIVING THE TOURING WITH THE MAIL SLOT REAR WINDOW OPENING, IS I CANNOT SEE PROPERLY. 1ST PROBLEM IS THE WINDOW GLASS IS BEVELLED ON THE EDGES AND DISTORTS WHAT I CAN SEE THRU THE REAR VIEW INSIDE.
2ND PART OF THE PROBLEM IS IT SITS TO HIGH UP LOSING THE VIEW OF WHO IS HOW CLOSE TO ME. I managed to obtain one of those odd shaped 32 rear window frames that's semi oval with the ends flat cut. I will sit in the car looking out the rear view mirror and ask a helper to determine the measured height needed on the rear view window. That way I will have a good view than whats going on around me.
I am also going to have a new top made on the phaeton and will have the rear section where the rear window would sit , made to be removable and about 36" wide and fold up inside.
I also made a new rear window frame for the roadster top that is the same shape as the closed FISHER BODY DESIGN. I copied the 34-35 std rear window frame, made a cardstock copy of it. Then took 4" out of the side to side width and sectioned it 1 1/2". I then took the new pattern to a water jet cutting place out of 1/4" aluminum. Made outside piece, center piece and inside piece. I clamped drilled and tapped it with 10/32 tapered head bolts I made this because you have to be able to determine whats going on behind you at speed. Trying to look out a mail slot rear window is dangerous.
Using your head , thinking it out and making changes for the better is a good thing.
