Hi guys, I know this sounds stupid, but when installing the okie bushing in a '54 3100, does the end with the oil seal go in first, or should it end up being flush with the end of the driveshaft tube. which means driving the larger opening end, in first? Thanks for the feedback.

The seal end goes in first, the bushing end has to be on the transmission end to suppor the ujoint yoke. The Oakie should be installed so that it is flush with the end of the torque tube. At least that is the way I did it.

Thanks Glyn....much appreciated! It's been about two years since I removed everything and the oakie bushing did not come with any detail info. Thanks for your help. Bob
