Does anyone know a source for a fuel pump block off plate for a '52 216? I'm installing an electric pump.

I would check with any parts store that sells preform parts. NAPA O'Reilly's and I am sure others also.

Would not be hard to make from 1/4 inch plate. Trace from gasket, cut out and drill two holes.

You can leave the pump inplace as the eletric pump will "pump through" the mechanical pump.

If you leave the pump on there would be a small chance to fill the crankcase with gas if the diaphragm went bad.

None of the large parts stores has it, not Napa, O'Reilly's, autozone, Pep Boys, Jegs, or Summit. Advance Auto shows block off plates but, unbelievably, does not list the engines they go on. I want to remove the pump entirely but I guess I could just leave it on but not connected. Or I'll make my own plate as was suggested. Thanks.

If you get a pc. of 1/4 aluminum you can make a nice one. Just cut out with a saw, grind edge, drill and polish.

I should have said to check for one for a v8 I think they should be the same.
