As usual, I acted and now I'm researching.

Yesterday, I purchased a set of 1928 disk wheels with the split rims from a person who is turning a coach into a hotrod. I was pretty sure it wasn't a direct swap and I was correct. I'm assuming I need the 28 hubs. Is there anyone who has done this that can walk me through it?

Additionally, he is selling the complete rearend and torque tube from it. I was thinking of buying it all and upgrading because I'm sure the rear 28 brake system has to be better than my 23's.

As usual, any and all advice is appreciated.

Hi
You will need the hubs and the brake drums to do that job.

I am sorry but none of the 28 brakes or wheels will fit a 23 490,there is going to be some major modifications to get this up and running.

you are so right Jim, I was only thinking of the change over of the wheels not the 1923 part
