i sold our 39 coe last year. its close by and the next time i see it, i'll check out the radiator cap. as i recall, it resembled the same type of cap for the gas tank on a 39 chevy pass car. mike

The pictures I have it looks like a 1939 conventional truck ornament but made to fit the sloping hood.

i the ebay item is identical to the one on my old 39 coe. the radiator cap itself resembles a gas cap of the era.mike

well I have found that one for Chester, whether he buys it or not is up to him. he can continue looking for one and at least now he knows exactly what he is looking for. And with that price at least he has an idea of what it may cost him. Are they that rare ???? interesting. mike lynch
