These are rare. Plan to spend $$$ for one if you can find it. The "original" was a bumper type. But it did not look like the ones that went up and down with a ratchet type pumped by the jack handle. Perhaps another member will send in a photo of one.

They usually sell for around 400-425. I've found and sold three in the last couple of years. Had another sent to me two years ago, still waiting for it to arrive.

The first picture, bottom left, shows the bracket attached to the frame and bumper bracket that the jack hooks on to in the rear, The front would go close on the bottom of the bumper bracket to the frame. The jack would be for 1935 Masters and 1936 Master and Standard models.

In all of my years I've never seen the jack that's illistrated in the Service News. It shows the handle with a 90 degree hook on the end that would go into a hole at the jack. All of the examples I've ever seen have an almost straight blade on the end of the handle with a matching female reciever on the jack, just like most modern axle screw jacks have.
I've also seen the screw shafts with square and round ends that plup into the base plate.

Mike, Does the basic jack look correct except for what you mentioned? Perhaps there were more than one style OR manufactor.

Mike B :) the jack that i have coming looks the same as the pictured one, with the exception of the straight blade opening to use the jack crank handle. im going to be needing a an original crank jack handle, or good pics of a real one to use as a template. and the bumper bracket receiver that stays? bolted to the car

Yes, the jack bracket must be used. If lifted by the bumper brackets it will twist the brackets.....will twist the bolt that holds the bracket to the frame.

Here is a handle that was under the seat in my 36 car---doesn't look like the one in the pic but matches a couple descriptions posted. I don't have a jack-

This is not the correct handle but it looks like it would work.
