Hi there, not enough posts in this grouping surely more of us are fiddling with making a period racer, ? any how I'm hotting up a 28 Chev 4 motor and it occurs to me that i should make the flywheel lighter, there is at least 1' of superfluous metal out side the pressure plate bolt holes , Any thoughts , RAY

I machined my 1928 Chevrolet sprint car's flywheel. I removed about 15 pounds. Did not run the motor before, so I don't know if it was an improvement,

I am running a Hunt 4 cylinder magneto, and a Winfield down draft carburetor on an aluminum intake manifold, The exhaust is 4 short horizontal stacks. Its loud and damn fast actually scary, but exciting as the devil.

What sort of head are you running to get 4 exhausts ? And have you got a pressure fed crank shaft, Ray
