Depends on what you mean by parts. Body parts are mostly roadster only. The chassis components are the same as any other 1935. There's several of these out there. I know of one that's under construction. It will be a high end restoration, not a hot rod...Joe

You would be far better off, time and money-wise to find one already restored, (unless you like breathing body filler, paint, dust, searching months to locate correct parts, have a gold mine in your backyard to pay for chrome, paint, shipping and labor and feel like closing up your garage for a year).

You want info on 1934 1935 Chevrolet standard series dc-ec roadsters, ask away. These things show up on ebay USA occasionally usually in the $30---45,000 for restored cars.

Unrestored $10--20,000 depending on quality. You want a complete car missing nothing.

The body was NOT MADE BY CHEVROLET OR FISHER, it was made by an outside source I believe is CAMPBELL-HERCULES. There is no information that will tell you that.

For some reason there seems to be a fair amount of HOLDEN GM AUSTRALIA built cars in north America. So much on the main body is different from USA ? CANADA stampings and I advise you to stay away from them .

Are you looking for a restored car, a car to restore. Or make into street rod, or a running street rod ?????

production figures for USA 1934 Chevrolet standard series roadster..1038..........1935..1176.

they come from the factory as 4 seaters, 2 front and 2 rumble seat which is stock, as is the left front side mount welled fender.

yes there is some repo parts roadster specific from American muscle.

I was looking at one that WAS complete and started restore- all new wood all metal done and primed, but by now needs sanded and started over. motor done once, but mice got into it. every thing I think is just about there. This was done about 12-15 years ago. Top irons are there but no bows. I have a real nice set of gauges.

used to be a place called OAK BOWS in PA that produced top bows mostly for fords.? Google them.

If you can get somebody to make drawing paper pattern of the top bows you can construct a template in 3/4" thick plywood total 1 1/2" high to bend northern ash ( preferred wood ) or oak around it. Better to do it out of 3/8" too 1/2" thick northern ash. then glue & clamp them up with TITE BOND GLUE.

If you google steam bending on you tube you will get the idea. You can use wall paper steamers

there is also a wooden header that fits onto the top of the windshield. I have pictures from Earl Peterson in Knoxville of what the side window curtains look like and the rods that hold them.

If you can find another member who has one to look at and help with his expectance, photo's, measurements, etc. Then you can become the advisor after restoring the car...just a thought. Remember it is a hobby. It will take a lot of elbow grease and time. Few men have climbed up that mountain and succeeded. The challenge lies before you. The question is will you do it. Good luck...

If you can afford it buy it, sounds like a lot of work is already done. Take a look here for a couple examples: <cranknhope.com>

According to a book called The history of Holden since 1917 31 Standard sports roadsters were built but it also lists 191 Mercury roadsters (the name was used internally in the factory in Australia)as well as 259 commercial roadsters giving a total of 481 1934 Standard roadsters Going by the survival rates I would say those figures are probably fairly accurate

I have done 2 31's a roadster and a 5 window and a 30 huckster. It does get right down in your billfold. It is a lot of fun and I have meet a lot of people and got a lot parts and advise from them. The "hunt" and the people are the most fun.

I am thinking about selling my 31 5 window if you know of any one. Its real nice, new engine, trans, clutch, paint ,sand blast frame, and every thing works. Don't want to sell it to a hot rodder to bad unless I got all the parts back. Thanks Roger about 19000

rjp, I suggest you post a classified ad under Cars for Sale. It will attract more attention than here in the 1933-36 forum.

Best of luck, Dean
