Hi there-anyone have any idea of anyone person or company that can make them look presentable? Just bought one and want it to get a makeover. Not tested either so I know if it works or not but is all complete with harness. Thanks in advance.

![[Linked Image from i563.photobucket.com]](http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/ss79/chefchevy/1948%20Guide%20Directional%20Sinal/switch.jpg) Sorry Marlon...Took me a while to find your pics...My guess was correct we both have 49-50 6002 guide directional signal switches I now have one like this..."NO R & L script"Took me manys years but I scored...So before you spend all the $$ to restore What you have...its not correct for a 48...The good news is though..no one will know the difference ![[Linked Image from i563.photobucket.com]](http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/ss79/chefchevy/1948%20Guide%20Directional%20Sinal/TurnSignalBracket1.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i563.photobucket.com]](http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/ss79/chefchevy/1948%20Guide%20Directional%20Sinal/scan0001.jpg)

The 1949 switch is dark brown with a chrome lever. The 1950 switch is completely diferent and has a rubber roller wheel for self canceling.

Gene I was guessing on the use for 1950 but know as a fact that the 6002 with no script is for a 48....I also have a 6002 dark brown scripted switch

Thanks for the research, would have to guessed there would of been any difference in model. The one I got still beats what I have now so it's a step up for the car, currently it has an all chrome turn single switch. Would still like to get this worked on and tested so if anyone know of any person or shop I can ship this out, please let me know. Thanks agai for the research and information will still keep an eye out for the correct one.

Marlon, I had my 1st 6002 switch rebuilt by Evergreen Electric in Fife WA...I had purchased a YnZ turn signal harness and had Evergreen replace the old one...I had to re-chrome the arm and paint the body cover....The contact surface inside the switch was pretty warn so it had to be built up...I used this switch "same as yours" for at least 15 years, until I found the unscripted 6002...I would suggest you take your switch to an auto electric shop in your area...The operation of the switch is manual and very straight forward
