I have two 4 Cyl water pumps on the shelf for 20+ years. In my mind, they were both spares for my '25 back then. I finally pulled them down to look at them, and they are different from each other. I am not sure what I even have any longer. I studied the Master Parts Book, which has left me more confused than I was!

In both cases, they turn freely but fairly tight. One is pretty nice, says 341218 on the pulley. Cast in the body is 341221, and it has a short straight outlet pipe. It is the most like I remember my 1925 pump. Photo below -

The other is a very similar body, with a much longer outlet pipe, and the number I find on it is 346707-29. It even has a bowtie on it. The impeller has a chunk missing, though. This one still has the original grease cup on it.

They both still have a 4 blade fan with them, and one is slightly larger than the other. The larger one is 17" at the greatest dimension, and the other is 15-3/4". I assume the 4 blades are from trucks, and were installed on these water pumps for better cooling long ago?

Can anyone identify these water pumps better for me? I want to sell them and get them into the hands of someone that can make use of them, but obviously need to have a better idea of what they are correct for. Many thanks! Photo of fans below.

From my 1928 Master Parts Book,#341218 comes up as being the fan pulley for Series K,M & R.Can't find the pump housing p/number,perhaps it was superceded by housing's #342631 or 326636?.

The 2nd pump with the longer outlet pipe looks like it would suit 1926-1927 cars & trucks,as would the fan blades.

Thanks very much for that, CJP. So I was reasonably correct that I had a back-up spare for my 1925, and perhaps I picked up the second pump only for the grease cap, who knows? I sure don't remember what I was thinking!

So I can advertise this lot as a good original 1925-26 pump, with spares of everything; and some folks like those 4 blade fans for better cooling on the Superior cars that came with the 2 blade. Now, I need to wander over to the Classified section.

How much are you asking for the one for the 27 with a 4 blade fan?

Well, which brings into focus that I never got around to posting this stuff for sale in the Classified area...

But at the risk of getting in trouble for having this conversation here - how about $30, plus the actual shipping? Do you want the slightly larger fan, which is more weathered, or the smaller one that somebody shot with the gray primer? The later '27 pump is the one with the broken impeller. How about would you want all of the above for $50 and shipping? Package deal!

Do you know how to do the "Private Message" up at the header under "My Stuff?" That's where we should have this conversation at this point. I'll send you this same post via that method, and you should see a flashing red envelope to click on -
