In the manual for my 34 Master it says that the steering gear is equipped with a pressure gun lubrication fitting (and it should be lubricated regulary).
I can not find any fitting on my stearing gear..., where should it be?
Thanks.

A 1934 Master has a pipe plug. They never corrected the manual from the previous years.
Best to NOT use heavy chassis grease as it does not flow into the "tight spots"
I made my own grease by mixing chassis grease and gear oil.
Straight gear oil will leak out.

Ok, then I understand, thanks for your reply.
Do you have any idea why they skipped the pressure gun lubrication fitting? It makes it difficult to get grease in there...
I guess I could make a grease fitting that will fit in in the hole for the pipe plug (?).

I put a Grease Zerk in my 34 and left it there. I also used John Deere Corn Head Grease.

That grease ay not be available in Europe so I didn't mention it.

They eleminated the fitting so the gear could not be overfilled and grease work up the steering column.
Also grese gun grease is too thick to reach all the tight places such as the pitman arm bushings and sector roller bearings.
