Does anyone have a link to an aftermarket replacement that will fit the shroud for a 1927 chevy radiator. I have found brassworks but looks to be almost a 1000 dollars..

If you have the old radiator, one option might be to use the old tanks and have a new core put in.

Sure, it won't have the honeycomb look, but it will cool the engine and I would think cost a lot less than $1000.

I had a local radiator shop put a monden core in my 28 using the original tanks, that was about 3 years ago and about $450.00. Our 28 is a driver for tours and not going to be judged.

About 25 years ago I restored my 28 which still had its original honeycomb core. The engine overheated and the core was past clearing. The radiator guy cut about 1/2" off the front of the core and put it back on with a new slimmer modern core behind it. It works well and looks good. Some ten years ago I had a fan blade let go and cut the back of the core. Much easier to repair.

I believe the is a honeycomb screen that fronts a modern core..Anyone???
