Hi, I had a new universal joint fail within 2000.00 miles on my 52 power glide, I think it must have been a crap Chinese copy. I can find plenty of universals for manual transmission but not many for the auto. My question is what is the difference between the two universals? I'm in the process of overhauling the differential and was to replace the oakie bush but found the universal must have been making the noise, at was about to fly apart, I'm glad it didn't fail on the road.
Ian.

The difference is the front yoke only .
Also important to us the Power Glide only bolt to attach the front yoke to the rear shaft of the transmission. The bolt is hollow with a jiggle pin in the center to allow P,G. fluid to creep into the U joint area for lubrication.
