Any suggestions for a complete rebuild/restorer for a 1934 Master Carter W-1 284S?
Thanks,

Chuck

Check your G&D under "Services Offered". There are several VCCA quality carburetor rebuilders listed.

www.carbjunkies.com in Georgia were great.
They rebuilt two Strombergs for me that Karb King in Philly sent back to me in pieces. From time to time I take off my original carb and manifold. I made a 216 Fenton manifold to fit my 207 engine with dual Strombergs for some local "hot rod" shows. Of course I strap on my helmet and goggles berfore getting behind the wheel! Safety first.

wisebri, when you say you made a 216 Fenton manifold to fit your 207 engine, do you mean you fabricated a new manifold that was like a Fenton? Or that you somehow adapted a 216 manifold to your 207?

Also, and this is probably too far afield for this particular thread, but I just noticed that Speedway lists its reproduction Fenton headers as fitting 1936-'59. That must be a typo, right? They mean 1937?

I used an old Fenton intake. Machined and added material to it til the ports lined up. Then modified the mounting ears so they matched up to my head (the one on my car). Then the carb mounts had to be cut down to fit the carbs under the radiator supports going to the firewall. I switch back and forth to the original parts. I love it! Its like having two different cars.
It was a great winter project. I get better gas mileage too. Go figure.
