Is there anyone who might have a picture of the floor mid pan of their 32 cabriolet that they could send me? I'm talking about the metal flooring behind the tool tray to the front of the kick-ups. I am working on my 32' Olds DCR and was told that pretty much everything is the same between the Olds and the Chevy cabriolet. Mine has a rust through area and I was looking a repro one on ebay. The problem is the picture shown is not the same as mine. My pan resembles the same pan in my 31' special sedan. The corners of my pan where the pan fastens to the rise on the kick-ups has a squarish area welding in. The one on ebay does not have those corners. My email is: tedthercbuilder@rocketmail.com

I now realize the add says for trunk models and mine is a rumble seat. Does anyone know of anyone making floor pans other than the company on eBay?

If you have patterns there are a few folks that can make floor pans. Kent Rehmert is one. He bought the Ralph McEowen fabrication business. He likely is the manufacturer for the guy selling on ebay.

Thanks Chipper. I also thought about it and looked at Bowtie Reproductions and they do list a 32' Cabriolet mid pan for the rumble seat model. Waiting on info from them.

Hi Ted.......if your 31 Chevy resembles the Olds, I think 31 & 32 Chevy Cabriolets are the same. I also think the 31 Cabriolet in the pics I showed you last week has a good mid pan. The rear rumble seat area pan was removed before I purchased. I'm in Boston but will check when I return tomorrow. You are not far away if you would like to verify for pattern .....

My understanding is that Dale sold Bowtie Reproductions to the guy that is listing those parts on ebay.

I had emailed Bowtie and got this message back today.
"Good morning Edward I'm at Hershey now have no floor pans call Kent 937 459 0215 after 9 am today he makes the floor pans and is at Hershey. I'll see him at breakfast this morning and tell him. Dale"
So I called Kent and he said he has the pan, exactly as I described mine, but not in Hershey with him so I'll have to have it shipped. I was hoping to pick it up when I'm there on Friday.

Does anyone know of anyone making floor pans other than the company on eBay? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx My 35 standard roadster has a rumble seat and the rumble seat floor is specific in that it has a footwell stamped into it, down about 3-4" lower than a non rumble seat car. I would think the 1932 cabriolet would have the same idea with sunken footwell area ????? mike lynch

That's exactly what the difference is Mike. The pan is much like the pan in a 4dr sedan that has a straight up 90d bend at the back edge with about a 4-5" rise that gets nailed to the top of the cross sill. On the 4drs they call this the heel board or at least Hampton Coach calls the vinyl that goes on that area the "heel board cover". I also noticed that the pan for the trunk model does not have the small tabs of steel on the front corners for the seat frame rollers to roll on. You would think they would still have those but maybe even the front seat frame is different.

I have pictures of the roadster rumble seat floor we made because the original looked like a swiss cheese slice.
I also have a touring floor panel for the back that is exactly the same as the roadster one.
contact me at mike350m at rogers dot com and will send the pictures of it.
