Just beginning to recondition Carter 150S for my 31. I would like to replace the throttle valve screws and clean the threads in the throttle shaft. Can someone help to confirm the correct brass screw size and thread to purchse replacements as well as a tap. The closest tap I have is #4 32 USF but it appears to be incorrect....

Yes 4-32 is NOT the correct size 3-48 IS the one you want.

If you have a problem there are two experienced rebuilders for those carburetors that frequent this site. Either will do a first class rebuild with the Carter factory tools.
