Hello all,

I am reinstalling my rear brakes. In the chevy manual it says to put lube on the points of contact between the brake pad and backing plate. What lube should I use? I dont want to ruin my brakes! What should I use to lube my new brake cable?

Thanks again for everyones help!

I use some white lubriplate, or a smidgin of any white grease, I have even used some wheel bearing grease, but only a smidgin. The same on the emergency brake cable, after I have cleaned them with WD-40 and worked it , before I started back with the wheel cylinders and the brake shoes that is when the emergency brake cables need to be done.
I hope this is helpful, and good luck....

(one smidgin = not too much)
