Can anyone tell me who sells an original wiring harness for a 51 Chevy pick up? Got one from Jim Carters but it has all the plastic connectors to put into a fuse box not happy about it. When I ordered it, it said cloth covered like original didn't think I would have to sit there and cut connections off and add original type connectors. And if that is the case it should say that in the description. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you talked to Jim Carter about it? They may have missed what you wanted on the order.

I agree! The first thing that you should do is to talk to Jim Carter about your issue.

Well called Jim Carter and they are saying that a 51 has a fuse box . Clearly this truck does not it has circuit breaker type fuses. All the headlight and tail light wires have a flag type connector that get held on by a screw on the outside of a large rectangle box for headlights and a small rectangle box for tail lights. Is anyone able to verify this.

The parts book shows that a 1950-1953 truck has a fuse block with a cover and it contains 4 terminals with cover.
The '47-'49 has a block with 10 terminals with cover.

The 1950 New Product manual describes the 1950 (and up) box as now having only two terminals. One for tail lamp and one for the stop lamp where as the 1949 and prior had five fused circuits(terminals)

Also the 1948-1951 truck shop manual still shows only the early style box.
