A friend has just bought a 1953 Chevrolet sedan. It is a right hand drive 4 door sedan; light green with a dark green roof; dark green/grey interior. It has "Belair" on the rear flanks.
He was told that it originally made in Canada and sent to New Zealand and then on to Australia.
The cowl tag says Style 53-1069W
Body No T8952
Trim No 250
Paint 500
On the LH windsreen post the tag says
Chevrolet
B53T(7?)
031859
I understand what 53 and Chevrolet means. Can anyone take me past that.
Thank you
Terry H

Terry,

1069w is a 210 series 4 dr sedan.

The 'T' in the body number is for the Terrytown, NY assembly plant.

Paint 500 is Woodland Green upper, Surf Green lower, Surf Green wheels, Onyx Black wheel stripping.

I don't see trim 250 on the list.

Hope that helps...

Thank you. It all makes sense. The trim appears to be original. It is sort of green/grey.

If it was assembled in Canada would have a different trim number.
