Hello all and happy new year,

Does anybody know of a place to buy brake cable assembly, (cable and housing)? The best price I can find is $90. I've looked into getting one fabricated, but the housing they have is not the same O.D. as the bracket on the frame. I've been trying to free up the cable on the one I have but have had no luck, anyway if I do get it freed up, what's saying it won't seize up again three months down the road, and I would spend $90 of my time removing and replacing, but I would like to see if there is a cheaper source. Also what can I lube my brake cables with?

thanks for the help!

Steve

I have used Teflon spray - a little at a time. Others have used PB Blaster and WD40. Don't be in a hurry, though.
