Hi Guys, about a month ago there were a couple of messages about the 3rd seat on a Bel Air wagon. A couple of people responded that a seat from an older Suzuki or some other small 4X4 would fit right in and was the same size and overall shape as the original seat....I have a friend that needs the 3rd seat for an everyday driver...does anyone out there remember that or have the info.?

Thanks for any help!!

Bob

Hey Bob,

That was me. I have a 2nd seat from a 1st generation Isuzu Trooper (84? - 90)as the third set in my 52 wagon. The size is perfect. There is one small mounting issue to overcome.

Check the pictures from this Trooper currently on eBay: 4608819354 It should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

There are some pictures of the seat both upright and tumbled. There is a latch mechanism in the center of the back edge of the seat that secures it to the floor. This is the issue you need to figure out. But it ain't brain surgery to make it work for you.

Good luck.
