I decided to put fender skirts on my '53.I have the brackets but do not know where they are to be positioned in the wheel well,,,,,,I have looked in my Original shop manual,but no Fender Skirts are shown,,,,,,,,Any help appreciated.

That info. is in the Accesory Installation Manual.Available from the Filling Station , #ACC-53 for $8.00.A good manual to have.

The bracket goes on the side closest to the door. It should go right above the crease. Just fit the bracket behind the lip and slide it down till it stops at the crease. The other side toward the trunk just gets a slot cut in the wheel well lip. I only know this because I recently replaced both rear doglegs and rocker ends on my 54 and had to remount my hardware. Hope this helps.

OK Guys I got the install manual ACC 53 and the brackets for the front of the wheel opening and I understand from Big 54 Bel Air how to install those, but what do I need to do to hold the top of the skirt in place......the manual shows two brackets on the fender at the top, I do not have these and the catalog shows the front wheel opening brackets,,,,which I have,,,,,,,,4 ea. and I only need 2....Any pictures or help appreciated......Thanks for your reply Big 54

Sorry it took me so long to post again. I finally got out to look her over and there are only the two tabs on the top of the fender skirt to stop it from falling forward. So all you need are the mounting tabs to be on the skirt. When the skirt is drawn up tight it stays in place
