For my first post I am also looking for some help. I have a 1954 Chevy 3100. It has a rear axle with the code NK 114. I have looked at it from all angles with all kinds of light, the 4 is very faint but the rest of it seems to be as stated. I have not been able to find that code anywhere. I think it may be original to the truck but maybe not. It had a 1965 Pontiac Tempest engine in it. It has the two piece drive shaft.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

NK 114 is the number for a 1955 first design 3100 series, 3.9 ratio. The 1 = Jan, 14 day of the month.
A 1954 would have been the same except number would began with an M.
Does the truck have an open driveshaft or torque tube, Hydramatic or standard transmission?

That doesn't compute to any thing.

When I got it it had a 65 Pontiac 215 with a Camaro distributor. It has a two piece drive shaft. It has a Muncie 420. It has been cobbled together and is missing the parking brake levers so I am trying to find out what it is so I can get the parking brake levers and struts.

On the drivers side of the rear end is the 'clock' and the numbers 362.
Thanks for the info! will see if I can find the brake levers now.
