I just want to take a second and point out that often people talk about the membership fees to our club being too expensive at $40 US a year. Here's one of those examples where work and lessons on a simple (for a licensed mechanic) repair are often shared at VCCA meetings. I've had plenty of parking lot lessons and shop time with members that are certified mechanics for free, just because as club members that's what we do for each other. The local regions often plan "shop nights" where guys get together and work on the cars.
great advice!
best investment i make each year!
don`t forget about the G&D news letter too.

I have been considering joining, but wasn't sure what benefit membership offered. Folks have given some good advice. I am switching to Hagerty which will save me some money so I will join up when its official.

Thanks again gents for the advice.

This isn't meant to sound like a lecture just for you, but just some advice for many of the others reading this thread as well, as it's evident you're already receiving a lot of help from these guys.

Finally got a chance to upload rear wheel hub brakes.
-Missing parking brake pieces.
-I will post pics of spare parts that came in a box.
-I did receive NOS rear parking brake cables from ebay gent, hope they are correct.
**Any ideas what is missing to make my parking brake work?**

Hi Mike,
Here are some pictures of the brakes from my '38. Hope this helps you. By the way, you have a great looking car! I hope mine looks that good when it is done.

Thank you, that is great. I have the kind of "s" shaped plate and the rod. If that is all that is missing I might be in good shape.
