That's really nice! Might chew up some paint if installed but would certainly make a great wall hanger in the garage, especially if it was painted to match your car...

AT $500 US = about $750 Canadian, that's an expensive wall hanger . Better to buy it , only if you have the car, because its in fine shape. Correct accessories are always interesting items to have for your particular car. mike lynch

[quote=AntiqueMechanic] Looks like an aftermarket device to me and not an accessory? Unfortunately you did not get specific , that iT's NOT LISTED in any gm accessory catalogues you have . What your saying above appears to come across like its only YOUR OPINION . That's what I understood it to mean. mike lynch

Look at the box. It is labeled as a Winterfront and does not have a Bowtie or any information that would link it to Chevrolet. It is Not listed in the parts books under the 1936 Accessories section. It is not listed in any CSN in or near the 1936 section. I therefore stand as calling it an "AFTERMARKET" item until someone states an official Chevrolet relationship. I'm not sure everyone understands the difference between OEM, Accessory, and Aftermarket. There is no law that requires a person putting an item on eBay from calling it anything he may care. It is "let the buyer beware", has been and always will be.

The Pines winter fronts were very popular (in the North) in 1936. You would often see them on Chevrolets, Fords and Plymouths as these were the most popular cars in 1936. I can't recall ever seeing one on a 1935 or 1937.....and YES, it was not a Chevrolet approved accessory.

I think we paid $75 for dads NOS unit. It hangs on the wall in the barn.

The door slides look pretty intricate from the pic of the backside. I wonder how it mounts. The one pic is of a sticker with mounting instructions but I can't quite read it.
