can the pin locks for the hold down of the brake shoes ....be substituted with e-clips? I see certain ones in the Chev-O-40`s but would like to know if all , large and small, could go to e-clips.......have the wheel cyl`s honed and new cups...new front shoes.....the pin locks look pretty bad though...thanks

I used them on my '39 with no problems. Better than bending over the originals as after years they get weak.

NAPA has the e clips- very inexpensive. The smaller ones are a bit thin so I used two.
