I’m trying to remove the old wiper control knob and unit from my 54 parts car and can’t seem to figure out how the knob comes off. Does it screw off or am I missing a countersink screw someplace? I don’t want to push on it if I don’t know what I’m doing.

My 1950 and 1957 have set screws.I would assume that the 1954 would be the same.

I briefly looked but didn’t notice one. I'll check again tonight. I have found that a lot of little items like this have used set screws. It took me nearly an hour to figure out on my seat adjustment knob. Oh well. Thanks for the input.

Ok, you were right about the set screw. It came right off. Now how about the headlight switch? Does it just pull off of un screw? I didn’t see a set screw on it anyplace.

reach behind dash and find the mushroom shaped pin with coil spring under it. the pin/spring is on one of the sides of the headlite switch. depress the pin/spring, push headlite switch knob in slightly then pull knob towards you, all the time keeping the pin/switch depressed till the knob starts coming out. mike

Ok, thanks. I doubt I would have figured that one out on my own. :)
