Is there a consensus opinion on the spark plug I should run in my 50-stock 216 with Fentons and pertronix conversion?

The original spark plug for a stock 1950 engine was an AC46-5. That plug/heat range wwas discontinued years ago. I run AC R45 plugs in mine. My driving is mostly at higher speeds.
The correct heat range for your modified engine will depend on several things including your type of driving.
I would start with a middle of the road R45 and see how they look after 1000 miles of your normal driving.

Thanks Gene, I'll pick up R 45,s today. Is it the pertronix, fenton's, or both, that makes my 216 modified?
