I asked this question in an earlier thread, but without the benefit of pictures. If I posted these correctly, you can see the 2 ways I measured the diameter. When I look at the Online Manuals, none of the reflectors are described as having a 7 inch diameter, so I am wondering if the other measurement is the proper way of doing it. Anyone? That leads me to think they are not for a Chevrolet.

Assuming my '38 is the same, I don't believe mine has the holes in the rim. I'll have to look to see if I have a good photo. Edit: Again assuming the '37 & '38 are the same, the correct reflector should have slots in the rim for the clips shown below. There are two in each reflector if I remember right. ![[Linked Image from i47.photobucket.com]](http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f167/Tinys1938/Clip2.jpg)

Thanks Gents, I'm going to have to agree with Gene and keep looking.

1937 and 1938 are different. Only the lens is the same.

The 37 reflectors have holes in the lips for screws to mount them solidly to the headlight bodies. In '37 the whole headlight moves to adjust alignment. The 37 reflectors are larger than the 1938 style that mount in adjusting pots inside the headlight bodies. The picture looks like a 1937 reflector, but I am traveling for a couple of weeks so can't measure mine to tell for sure. Tom

Thanks for the glimmer of hope, Tom, can't wait to hear what you find. As I mentioned in the prior thread, the lenses that came with these reflectors bear the right part number and the seller swore the works came from a 37, but without a part number on the reflectors themselves, I had to take them on faith. This isn't one of those projects I'm just dying to get started, but it will be good to know if I have what I need.

The reflector that you have is correct for 1937 Chevrolet cars. The OD is 7 inches across the full circle and top to bottom is 6 3/4. The groove just inside the outer lip is for a cork gasket that fits to the rim of the headlight lens. The flat side of the reflector goes to the bottom and there is a tab (under your hand in the first photo) that locates the reflector to the headlight shell. The two small holes are for screws to mount the reflector to the headlight body. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kywut9ayvfodkp8/AACKAn7rLCyDEFmEzYmKYNBca?dl=0
