I'm getting ready to order a reproduction cloth 6 volt wiring harness for my '51 and I asked him about discounts on the price. He said he could do 10% if I was able to bring another client in, so he could lay two of them out at the same time. Any of you guys want to go in with me to get 10% off? PM me if you're ready...

I assume it would have to be for the same model. I have not recovered from the shock when I last priced a complete harness for my 51 Bel air.

Some areas of it are different, but close enough for the discount I (we) would need! Anyone else looking at harnesses?

What is the "price" that is getting discounted 10% ?

It's the same factory correct reproduction harness that is carried by Chevs of the Forties and The Filling Station. My layout includes quote for harness, optional clock, backup lights, tail light harness, and turn signals. $1022 plus shipping.

Is the $1022 before or after the 10% ?

Not surprised as I priced mine a couple years ago from R.I. Wiring and it was around $800.00.

Ouch... chevy's of the 40's has a correct cloth wrapped, as well as Ecklers. and the price for a complete 1950 styleline deluxe harness was around $600-700. I personally opted for a ron francis correct 6V guage Harness but with modern insulation ( I know not vintage correct, but this also comes with a fuse panel and plainly marked wiring, and best yet was $300 or so. If you want correct cloth wrapped, go with it, which I thik is fairy plug and play, mine is a bit different translating some of the new stuff, but it is less expensive. either case, what I found were less than the $1000 or so you noted.

You need to go back and review what you are getting for $600. The body harness, head light pigtails, and other options are extra cost. The body harness (interior, fuel & tail/brake lights) is another $225. Head and parking lights are another $70...

I realize the pigtails and head/sigs etc are extra but when I did call them, I specifically asked them if it was a front to back/interior set and they said yes. That being said I opted for the ron francis 6 Volt kit, and am happy with it.

It's all in the car. Check out my restoration thread in the 49-52 section. I'm just working out the kinks now. Should have it all gone through in a couple of weeks.
