roll down the windows, crack open the front windshield...

not sure there is much you can do on these old cars. Maybe get one of those steering column mount fans to move some air.

Open all the windows including the windshield. Drive slower. Drive faster. Don't start the engine, just tow it behind your car or truck with AC (have the wife ride in the AC as both of you will be happier). Wait until Fall or Winter. Grin and bear it?

Cabin heat is good. Most of them don't have any heat!

Lots of air comes in with the windshield open. Unfortunately, I see a lot of these cars with the windshield "fixed" because either the regulator is broken or been removed to install an electric wiper motor. I know I'm glad mine windshield goes up and down.

With the windshield up , vent open and windows down, as long as you are moving at a reasonable speed that's as cool as it will get. Unless you move to a place far north such as northern N.H. or Maine.

On my sedan it's 7 and 35 so that greatly increases the affect. Doesn't change the temp much but helps you to think it's better.

vent open

A 1930 Chevrolet doesn't have a cowl vent....only the "VV" windshield that opens.

Another reason to "update" to a more "modern" car.

Too hot. I had to install heater in my 1930 sedan so the wife would ride in it. Now I'm thinking of taking out heater.
Yup roll up windshield and move to Canada.

The early Chevrolets are hot in the summer and cold in the winter. That's the nature of the beast. For that reason, and others, many dudes prefer the newer Chevrolets in the 1960's and 1970's with air conditioning which makes touring more comfortable.

Put a shut off valve on the heater hoses for summer, they still don't have AC but it helps a lot.
