the horn on my superior is mounted thru the right side of the firewall but it does not have a cone sticking thru to the engine side of the fire wall. I assume somewhere along the line it got broken off it does make noise so my question is should I just look for a complete replacement or a new cone. any part #'s would help. or does anyone sell horn parts.

I've never seen just the horn cone for sale. That's the part that gets damaged the most. You can find them on Ebay sometimes. You can also try Garry Wallace, he shows used horns back to 1925 on his web site. He may have old horns or horn parts for a 1924.Good luck with your project.Hope this helps. http://earlychevyparts.com/

When doing an Ebay search try using "Ford Model T horn". Like it or not to many people every old car/part is a Model T.

Is the '24 horn an "ahooga" horn or just the regular vibrating type like the modern ones?

The 1924 and early 1925 horns are the same as far as I have seen. Possibly used earlier. I have several, they are "buzz" horns. Most of them are emobossed "REMY" on the back of the back cover. They do not have the motor like the Klaxon 8C used late 1925 into the 30's.
I sent a PM to Super/D but haven't had a reply yet. I am new to sending PM's so will wait to see if it was received.
