A 1964 ElCamino is a Chevelle. The Chevelle wheels have much less off-set than a full sixed car.

Actually the Chevelle 14"X 5" 'J' rims have a larger offset 1.00" and the passenger 14" X 5" 'J' rims have a 0.56" offset. There is a chart in the Colvin Book that breaks all of the offsets down

Chevrolet by the Numbers 1960-64 by Alan Colvin. Great books very well researched and documented. There are several volumes really a great tool for information

I don't know how they measured the off-set but if you install the Chevelle wheels on a full sized car the wheel will be closer together (narrower wheel tread)...or...if full sized car wheels are installed on a chevelle you will have a wider wheel track.
I remember this from selliing wheels for snow tires years ago.

The offset, to my knowledge is the 1/2 the rim width minus the distance from the rear of the flat where the bolt circle is to the rear rim surface ..can be plus or minus.. so you're correct Gene...it can affect the track width....correct me if I'm wrong...Billu38

What do offsets have to do with spoked hubcaps? They should fit any offset.

I just read the whole pile of posts, nobody was asking about spoked hubcaps .

hubcaps fit by rim size, 14" or 15".
