I am having a tough time finding rockers with extensions for my 54 4 door. They are roughed out pretty good back at the very end where it curves outward. I know they make rocker extensions for the 52 4 door. Does any one know if they will fit or if there is a place that carries the full rocker panel for a 54 4 door?

The 1949-52 will not fit a 1954.I have not seen any later ones either.

Big 54 Bel Air are you talking about the stock rocker patch panels, or rocker trim pieces for a 4 door 54 Bel Air? If you are try National Chevy Association, They have an online catalog and may have some Repop ones. also try Obsolete Chevrolet Parts.

Thanks for the replies. MrMack I am talking about the patch panels. My Bell Air is suffering from door jam rot. It needs the very end of the rocker where it curves up into the body. This is right where the big bell Air fender flair is. All the rocker panels I've seen so far stop short of this area. I was wondering if a 49-52 could be modified to fit this area. It will be very hard to fabricate this area from scratch.

This is the URL for Obsolete Chevy Parts, they have a good selection of body patch panels. Obsolete Chevrolet Parts Online As to how the 52 would work I don't know. The cars I have done were not too rusted to be able to fit small pieces in and weld them, I have a 51 Hardtop parts car that is a rust bucket and I would not attempt to restore it. In addition to the cancer on the lower body the frame is also rusted too badly to repair, at least by me. Good bodys and frames are still around in this part of the country.

Thanks for the link. This is the only bad rust on the car. The floor boards are solid and so is the trunk. I might be making more out of this spot than need be but I feel confident that it is very fixable. If you click on my profile you can see a pic of the car. She is bran new from the front doors up including a rebuilt motor, new tires, brakes and shocks. The interior needs work as does the lower rear rockers and quarters. It also has some rust under the trunk but they make repair panels for all of this so I’m not worried. The only area I'm not sure of is the rocker corner.
