Hello! I'm new to this forum, and am hoping someone can help me.

I'm a photo historian writing an article and I have a vintage photograph I'd like to date (or date approximately). There is a car in the photo, which I believe is a Chevrolet, but I don't know the year of the car -- I think it is either a 1936, 1937, 1938 or 1939. I've searched online, but it looks like there are many variations to the trunk and taillights, so I can't say for sure.

What I'm looking for is the earliest date the photograph could have been taken.

I've tried to attach the image to this post, but can't figure out how to do that -- the FAQ page says I can do it under the File Manager link, but I can't find it, so I could use some help with that, too!

Is anyone willing to help me identify the car? If so, please reply and let me know the best way to send you the photo. Thanks so much! I'd really appreciate it!
