In 1933, were the rubber floor mats sitting on jute or directly on the floor? I have front & rear mats because it's a sports coupe so would this applicable to both areas? If it has jute, how close to the edge of the mat does the jute come to? Thank you, Joe

The just was glued to the bottom of the rubber mat. At an average it was about an inch and a halve from the edge. The jute served a a noise and heat insulation.

Must not be real thick or it would affect the travel of the accelerator pedal. Thanks Gene...Joe

Jeff Mine is a Fisher body so I used the cut to fit black ones that the Filling Station sells. They have the bowties but they have Fisher I the middle. Maybe you put the fire ext. over that emblem during judging...Joe

The judges will never know the difference. The padding was about as thick as an average piece of carpet.

As I remember, the original jute was thinner but the 1/4" should work. Depending upon the thickness of the jute, you will have to figure out how far from the edge of the rubber mat the jute should stop so that the edge of the rubber mat will lay flat on the floor.
