On a 29 Chevy Coach is there any type of support for the accelerator rod prior to going through the wood floor board.
Thanks

No sign of such refinement on my '31 Coach.

I added a metal plate with a smaller hole than the larger hole in the wood. Did it on the 30 when we had it and on the 28, works fine just make sure the hole in the metal is large enough to not cause the rod to bind.

If you add a plate be sure that it is done in such a way that the accelerator rod doesn't get stuck to the floor in full acceleration or the car can run away with you and it could be life threatening.

I used a piece of 1/4" rubber, about 2" square with a 3/8" hole, fitted it around linkage (cut a slit) and secured it to floor boards with 4 small screws. Works perfectly, cut similar square out of floor underpad so it does not show. Was concerned I would get a scraping sound with a steel surround/
