Hi guys! I have always been a small block chevy man and never worked on a 6 cylinder. That said, I'm replacing a camshaft in my 235 and was wondering if I need to pull the distributor to be able to slide the cam out? I have '54 3100, is there ennough room to get the cam out through the front end after removing the radiator? Any other "tricks" I should use from your experience?

Thanks for any input,

Bob

Also remove the oil pan to gain access to the lower timing cover bolts and the fuel pump and balancer...may also be necessary to remove the grille if the cam in longer than the block to grille demension.
