I noticed my clutch lever retainer springs were all (3) broken on my '32 upon disassembly. Just wondering if you guys would recommend replacing the 9 clutch springs since it's apart and out of the car. All of mine appear good, rusty of course, but the clutch seems to grab and release fine over the road.

Anyone know of a way to test these springs ? I can't remember but someone here mentioned a company that specializes in springs of all descriptions and could probably match up mine. I placed a " wanted" ad on this site thinking it might be nice to have them if not now , for future use. Thanks !

If it ain't broke…..fix it 'til it is.

You can test the clutch springs with a bathroom scale and a drill press.

The Filling Station has them in the online catalog as part number AF-79

Like this ? I found it on a snowmobile forum. Would you know of a number in pounds to look for or consistency among the 9 springs ? I would think they would all weaken together at the same rate, more or less.

I see AF-79. Thanks Chipper !

If 1 spring is broken I would replace the full set, theoreticaly keeps everything even.
