That's awful!! Weird.....why would anyone want to steal the starter button?!

Just a thought...maybe the starter button fell off.....did you look around on the floor?

Do you have a spare starter button?

i surely did look all over that floor..twice; the store parking lot too. "they" had to unthread it. i don't understand it, i just report it. i don't see one in the filling station catalog (no spare). maybe "they" didn't either. j

Someone sniped my radiator cap a while back, now I put a spare on & no one takes it. I take my eagle off if I leave the car.

someone might steal a starter button if they didn't have one and were too stupid, and/or lazy to find one. harvest time in the parking lot. i didn't know where to look after failing to find one at fillingstation.com. andy, thanks again for the "gary wallace" info, jim.

the chevy six clatter means nothing's the matter.

That means, whoever stole the starter button must have known what they were doing and needed it for their Chevie. Hard to believe one of our "own" Chevie owners would stupe to stealing from another Chevie person.

My Chevy is over 70 years old and still running great. I hope I keep running cuz I just turned 81 !!

It's not like these cars are common. I had the starter button "back off" on my 31 and fall out the door a few times. I just don't see it, and I am a product of the Bronx where things like that were a common event.
