What is the fuse amperage for the 57 overdrive? I cannot find it in the 57 shop manual nor in the Borg Warner manual.

Gene, Thanks that is what I have been using but I blow them from time to time. I have replaced the solenoid, governor, and wiring harness. Any suggestions. Dale

A 9 amp fuse seems a little light. If it were mine I wold go up a couple more amps.....or replace the relay?

Looking ahead to 1959 and 1963 I see they used a 15 Amp fuse.

Thanks, I looked up other applications for Borg Warner overdrives. Most use 15 amp, some even used 20. 57 Chevy uses 9 amp for things like back up lights, 20 amp for air conditioning and power antenna. So I think 9 may be on the light side.
