Is the horn on a 31 roadster plain or is there supposed to be a brand name on it?

The correct horn should have "Delco-Remy - 16" around the edge of the 1.5" diameter washer on the back and "6 - volts" inside it. On the opposite side of the washer will be the Delco-Remy logo.
Be aware that Plymouth, Harley-Davidson and others used the same model horn with a different bracket than the Chevrolet.

And there was no Chevrolet or Bowtie symbol on chrome face, in case that was your question.

Thank you all for the info, that makes it very specific. Hopefully Iola or Hershey will yield some positive results later this year. I've seen several incorrect ones on ebay.
