I want to install seat belts in my 31 cab. I know there have been discussions of this in the past. Can anyone direct me to these threads or give me info on how they have done installations.
Thanks ThreeWindow

Let us know what you come up with please. I was thinking about a flat steel bar on the top of the frame and a L shape on the bottom of the top frame. which would pinch the frame in between. I have not looked into this yet.

Hi I was involved in one of the earlier discussions. I had the body off my 1930 SR and I got a good solid steel cross piece welded between the side rails of the chassis. This replaced a rotting wooden crosspiece and provided a solid anchor for lap belts. These come up under the seat, between the backrest and the squab (hope the terms are the same). It's easy to lift the squab and drop them out of sight if necessary. But at least we won't go through the windshield.

3wdw, here is the path to a wonderful 2 page article by bill damm on how to install seat belts in a '29 coupe. google this: "vcca puget sound tappet clatter aug 2009". go to pages 9 and 10 for detailed instructions and fine color pictures of the whole process. pax out, jim
