I am looking at a 1930 coupe with a rumble seat but there are no tags on the car so I need help confirming which model it is.

It is a 3-window coupe for which the current owner is stating it is a 2-door sport coupe which I see has a production total of 45,311.

In my Chev history books I see 9,211 2-door coupes with a rumble seat were also produced. So is this model the 5-window coupe?

Please help because online I am seeing pictures of 3 and 5-window coupes that people are calling either a coupe or sport coupe, which is confusing.

Welcome to Chevy Chatter. Glad to have you with us!

If the 1930 coupe has a rumble seat then the car is a Sport Coupe and has a Job Number of 30558. The Job Number appears on the Fisher Body Cowl tag that is riveted to the cowl under the hood (if it still exists). The 1930 Standard Coupe is a trunk model and the Job Number is 30557.

Both the Sport Coupe and the Standard Coupe in 1930 were three window coupes. The first year for a five window coupe was in 1931.

There are no tags at all and yes those are the numbers I found online also.

My question though was about the difference between the 2-door sport coupe with a production total of 45,311 and the 9,211 2-door coupes with a rumble seat that were produced?

I am unable to post a picture but this info is from the "Standard Catalof of Chevrolet 1912-2003".

You will be better off if you take the "Standard Catalog of Chevrolet" and throw it in the trash can. That book is very inaccurate.
